Welcome to the "Pastor’s Study."

Pastor Schoneweis "Building for eternity, by knowing and loving God" has become the motto of this church and ministry. John 17:3, Jeremiah 9:23-24 and Deuteronomy 6:5 state the Scriptural perspective of this motto. Truly God is good to allow us to know Him and become co-laborers together in His work of redemption.

The eibchurch.org website has been updated with the addition of several new pages representing ministries both inside and outside of this local church. For over thirty years we have witnessed the goodness and blessing of God and have seen Him stretch and enlarge our borders beyond anyone's wildest speculation.

Over the years this ministry has been used to serve in various areas. The Radio Broadcast, Camp "Son Shine" now Camp Challenge, the Kansas Pastor's Fellowship, the founding of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Wichita, and Pastor's membership and participation in the Fundamental Baptist Fellowship are just some examples.

These ministries are in addition to the regular services and expectations of a local church ministry. Also, I have continued a course of study resulting in an MA and progress toward a Doctorate of Pastoral Theology, saved at thirty-two and pushing hard on seventy. And come to think about it, we founded the Church, bought the land and built the building all by the grace of God, without attachment and very little "outside-of-congregation" help.

Seven grandchildren, home schooling, counseling, phone calls of all sorts, additional church-related children and grandchildren with their personal attention, mothers in nursing homes, and extended family responsibilities and activities have been the stuff of this ministry.

The building continues. Plans are in the works for hanging a Gospel Tract on every door in Clay County, in concert with other churches to cover the State of Kansas. Eternity is where we are all headed. Some to Heaven, and some to Hell, not a popular subject in our twisted, "Brokeback Mountain" inclusive/exclusive culture. They are saying, "It would not have been accepted 30 years ago." I am sorry for you if my diversion offends. That is the reason for knowing and loving God, Who has not changed in the last 30 years or in all the years prior. According to His Word He has no plan to change, and His expectations remain the same.

On a recent Radio Broadcast, 100.9 FM, 9-9:30 AM Sunday, I introduced our son-in-law and Associate Pastor, Larry Carr. Lord willing and enabling, perhaps another generation will continue to know the blessing of "Building for Eternity."

There is a place for you to build as well. Our Lord said, "The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few."

EIBC is a solid ministry which has built on the Rock rather than the sand. That Rock will stand the test of time and shifting opinions. Bring your tools, and let's build for Eternity.
